It’s a world of codes — the sources and systems, wireless connections. Information is passed between servers, shared across the world at unprecedented speeds. And careers are being redefined because of this. Corporations are shaping their policies online; cubicles are becoming proof of markups and syntax. Technology is the driving force of industry and job hunters are now expected to understand all elements of Java. No software can be denied. No applications can be mistaken. Every aspect of computers must be recognized. And those who lack the ability to do this may find themselves unable to keep pace with bureaucracy.
Higher education is often believed to be an exercise in excess — a collection of philosophies and opinions, the quest for truth. Such truth is deemed unneeded by many, however (with over 40 percent of the population refusing to continue learning beyond high school). Careers are craved, not useless degrees.
Those degrees are now being changed to specializations, though.
Individuals pursuing college will discover the ability to master technology: learning the language of computers and how to apply it to business. The future will be dependent upon source manipulations; and all wishing to gain success must therefore be aware of how to accomplish these. There must be an understanding of technology and its specificities. Refusing this will only result in failure — because even those with good sense and better capabilities will be ignored for those who have proof of a degree. Experience breeds certainty; and employers always wish to be certain.
It is necessary therefore to continue with education. Even achieving a two year diploma in technology will result in greater job opportunities (with certifications leading to a 30 percent increase of being chosen). The correlation is clear and the results can’t be denied. College must be pursued and knowledge must be earned. Refusing to do so will only offer disappointment for the days to come — with computer prowess being required and no way then to provide it. A degree is essential.
Choose higher education. Choose a future that will flourish. Choose to overcome technology and find success.
